Police: Driver in stolen pickup leads officers on chase through Central Lubbock

One person was arrested after police said the person led officers on a vehicle and foot chase Tuesday morning through Central Lubbock.

At about 11:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 4300 block of 34th Street, Lubbock police located a red pickup truck listed as a stolen vehicle out of Slaton.

A spokeswoman for the Lubbock Police Department said officers attempted to pull the pickup over but the driver led them on a chase.

The driver stopped the vehicle at 42nd Street between Boston Avenue and Akron Avenue, fled on foot but was quickly captured and arrested about 11:20 a.m. Police had not released the driver’s name by Tuesday evening.
