Police find blood but no victims, suspects after reported Central Lubbock shooting

Police investigating a reported shooting had found blood, but no victims or suspects by late Wednesday in Central Lubbock.

The shooting was reported about 9 p.m. in the 2800 block of Avenue Q, according to Lubbock police.

Officers were searching the area and had lanes blocked off. Police confirmed there was a blood spot on the ground, but it was not clear how it got there.

It was not immediately clear to what extent anyone was injured. Police told A-J Media they would release more information Wednesday evening as it becomes available.
