The West Texas Home Builders Association has scheduled a Fall Tour that will feature 45 new homes in 28 neighborhoods from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 7-8 and Oct. 14-15.
“The Fall Tour of Homes is a really unique opportunity for Lubbock’s community of builders to spotlight our best work,” said Fall Tour of Homes chairman Craig Ray.
“Only once a year do we have this many builders from this many neighborhoods showcasing their homes all at the same time.”
He said, “Builders and their vendor partners will be at each home to answer questions or proudly point out trending features as you tour.”
Gena Godinez, executive director of the West Texas Home Builders Association, said last year’s Fall Tour was such a hit that it was brought back this year.
“We give away some prizes for those who tour. Just fill out a short online survey. They can be entered to win one of four prizes on the website, including a $500 Visa card.”
Additional information can be found on the website lubbockfalltourofhomes.com, including the various homes and builders.
Prizes also include a 50-minute Swedish massage from the Woodhouse Day Spa; a teeth-whitening treatment from Jason P. White, DDS; or a YETI hopper from Morrison Showroom.
The tours are free, and brochures with home details and maps are available at each home. No tickets are required, and information about house locations, and other information, can be found on the tour’s website: lubbockfalltourofhomes.com.
Godinez said those who see the homes will also be given an opportunity to contribute to the “Lubbock Homes for Heroes” charity if they wish. That program is supported by the West Texas Home Builders for veterans who have been disabled in wars.
“We will have envelopes available for that,” she said.
According to Craig Ray, those who take the tour will be able to learn more about what makes a particular home special.
