The Texas Department of Public Safety Driver License office in Tulia is scheduled to close indefinitely on March 28 for remodeling, according to a DPS news release.
Customers are advised to visit DPS Driver License offices in Plainview, Dimmitt and Amarillo for business transactions as Tulia’s office, located at 310 West Broadway Avenue Suite 137, will close for an undetermined amount of time.
Those eligible for online license or identification card renewal must be U.S. citizens and the expiration date on the card must be within one year.
Customers renewing online must provide the 20-character code on the front of their current license or card.
Upon renewal, the expiration date will be six years after the card’s current expiration date, not the date of the renewal.
The release states licenses must be renewed in person every 12 years for a current photo and eyesight test.
