Police identify person found dead in West Lubbock mobile home park

Lubbock police on Monday released the name of a person who was found dead Saturday afternoon at a West Lubbock mobile home park.

At about 1:45 p.m., police found the body of 32-year-old Marian Daniel King at Commander’s Palace Mobile Home Park, 6801 19th Street, according to Lubbock police spokeswoman Kasie Whitley.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene after the circumstances surrounding King’s death appeared to be suspicious, said Whitley. Police have since declined to elaborate on King’s cause of death or what led officials to believe it was suspicious pending an autopsy by the Lubbock Count Medical Examiner’s Office.

The case remains under investigation.
