Letter to editor: Letter writer wrong about Trump

Letter writer wrong about Trump

A letter writer on Jan. 13 asserted that Donald Trump goes about threatening nuclear destruction. That is not true. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says there will be negotiation until the first bomb drops. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un says he will burn us to the ground, so Trump has said that if he does he will suffer the consequences. Trump could just pay Kim off (like former presidents have). I think that is what Kim wanted but now he is upset. However, he seems to be cooling considering the talks on the Olympics, etc.

What does the letter writer want? For Trump to talk “sweetly” to someone who says they are going to burn us to the ground? She said Trump is mentally unstable, etc. However since he took office unemployment has fallen to a 17-year low; more than 1.9 million jobs have been added, the stock market has gone up more than $6 trillion, ISIS is on the run and new home sales have soared to a 10-year high

But unlike Obama, Trump has sacrificed his own wealth to make America prosperous for everyone. Forbes estimates Trump has lost $600 million since he’s been in office. He does not accept salary for one thing and personally donated $1 million to hurricane relief. Have you?

These are hardly the actions of a mentally unstable person or person that has narcissism characteristics. The letter writer said he is ignorant, but he has degree from Wharton (No. 1 business school), a high IQ, is a very successful businessman, etc, and now president. How does she qualify to say he is “ignorant?”

It seems that the media is doing its job by reporting 95 percent negative stories on Trump, thereby creating a fervor against Trump for those that would listen to them.
