Visiting ‘Santa’ appreciates Lubbock
Dear people of Lubbock,
I just wanted to send this letter to commend all of you on your kindness and friendliness. I was at the South Plains Mall as Santa this past Christmas season for 43 days, and I have never encountered a more friendly group of people than the people of Lubbock. I had never been to Lubbock in my 73 years, and I was deeply touched by the treatment I received from every single person.
My direct contact with the mall was Ashley Knox, and let me say she and all her staff did all within their powers to make my stay pleasant and trouble free. They also worked diligently to make sure that the patrons of South Plains Mall enjoyed their time there. “Breakfast with Santa” was marvelous as was every event pulled off by Ashley’s staff. Their main concern was the citizens of Lubbock.
I was so impressed I came home to the North Pole trying to talk Mrs. Claus into moving our summer home to Lubbock.
Special thanks to Blake Payne and Roy Vieregge for taking time to show me around your wonderful city and all that it has to offer.
I hope to be back in Lubbock soon.
