Nation needs godly leaders
Recently, I read two books about Republican conservative men: Mike Huckabee (an authorized biography by Scott Lamb) and Ronald Reagan (about his last years with Alzheimer’s disease). I discovered in both books that the liberal Democratic National Convention hates conservatives. For example, the door was nailed shut on the office that Huckabee was voted in to have in Arkansas. Such childlike behavior by grown, educated men supposedly smart enough to run the country.
Not that the DNC doesn’t ever do anything that’s good, but too often both sides are motivated by fame and money.
A true conservative is a Bible-reading, Bible-living person who is a Christ follower and does things motivated by the Holy Spirit to bring glory to God, further God’s kingdom, save people from hell and help our country.
By the way, I came into a whole new appreciation for Nancy Reagan and her love and care for her husband who had Alzheimer’s his last several years.
Both books were hardbacks that I purchased at a Christian bookstore for $1.
Oh Lord, we pray for mercy. We pray you will also raise up godly people to lead our country and that the rest of us pray and help them.
