TXDoT temporarily closes parts of U.S. 87 south of Lubbock for roadway repairs

Two exit ramps south of Lubbock on U.S. 87 will be closed through next week for pavement repairs, according to a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation.

TXDoT crews will close the southbound exit ramp to FM 1585 and northbound exit ramp to 114th St. to make repairs to U.S. 87 frontage roads.

Southbound U.S. 87 traffic will need to use the 114th St. exit and northbound traffic will need to use the FM 157 to connect with 114th St., according to the news release.

People traveling through the area should expect delays.The work is part of a $7.34 million project to improve three miles of roadway on U.S. 87 in Lubbock County from 82nd St. to half a mile south of FM 1585, according to the news release.
